Flossing

Flossing is a mandatory supplement for a good teeth cleaning and children should get used to using it very young, after a good brushing.

To floss follow these steps:

1. Cut about 50 cm of floss and wind most of one of the middle fingers.
2. Wrap the remaining string on the same finger of the opposite hand. This finger may be picking up the floss as it is used.

Dental Floss

Periodontal Disease most often begins between teeth where a toothbrush can not reach, use dental floss is an effective method to remove dental plaque from these surfaces. The following instructions will help, but the proper use of dental floss requires time and practice.

Start with a piece of floss about 45 Cm’s. length. Wrap the thread most of the middle finger of one hand, and the rest on the same finger of your other hand.

To clean the upper teeth, hold the thread between the thumb of one hand and the forefinger of the other, leaving little more than 1 cm. silk between them. Insert the floss between teeth using a sawing motion. Do not force the floss, and take it to the gum-tooth junction.
