New research, which will soon be published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, showed that one injection every six months protects against pregnancy. It is a testosterone injection to a temporary stop of the sperm causes. The effect remains half years, and then the sperm is just starting again.
The study tested the injection of thousands of healthy and fertile men between twenty and 45 years. All they had during the last two years fathered a child. The injection of 99 worked in one hundred cases. This is the chance of a pregnancy with injections as small as the pill.
Major side effects were not, the researchers have already noted that volunteers were often suffer from acne after the injection.
Contraception for men is a fact. Scientists will only make the question whether women have enough confidence in men to contraception at them to leave.
