Animal Bite
To be bitten by dogs, cats or other pets can be dangerous if the bite is so deep that it bleeds. Get medical attention if the bite is deep or swollen, tender and red, and if you have been bitten deeply into their hands or if you think you lack protection against tetanus.
An animal bite is deep can cause serious and difficult to treat infections due to bacteria in the animal’s mouth. Although the bite of another human can cause serious infections.
Prevention
Make sure you have basic protection against tetanus. Basic security is for thirty years. Ask a nurse at the nearest hospital or medical advice if in doubt.
Clap no dogs and cats in the world because of the risk of rabies.
Self-care
A superficial bites that do not bleed significantly usually heals by itself. Follow these steps:
* Wash your hands.
* Wash the wound with soap and water.
* Put on a possible bond. Avoid tight connections, an air compressor is best.
Find Care
Contact the nearest health center on:
* Bite deep
* The bite is swollen, tender and red
* You have been bitten deeply into the hands or near a point
* You think you have no protection against tetanus.
If you get bitten by an animal abroad, it is important to you as soon as any contact with the doctor.
